National Monitoring of Floating Macroplastics

Marine Litter

On behalf of The Norwegian Environment Agency, a proposal was developed for national monitoring of floating macroplastics.

The project was led by NIVA, with SALT as subcontractor responsible for conducting power analyses of various monitoring designs. The aim was to determine the magnitude of changes in litter composition and levels that can be reliably detected using the proposed monitoring designs.
