Workshop Series for the Introduction of a Visitor Contribution Scheme in Lofoten

Coastal Development

As part of the process of introducing a visitor contribution scheme, SALT is assisting the Lofoten Council in planning and facilitating a series of workshops bringing together politicians, businesses, residents, and youth representatives from across the region.

The project aims to support knowledge-based discussions on how a future visitor contribution scheme can be designed in a way that benefits local communities, businesses, and visitors alike. SALT is responsible for the preparation, facilitation, and follow-up of the workshops.

The workshops are designed to encourage constructive dialogue across different interests and municipalities, and to contribute to a shared understanding of opportunities, challenges, and priorities related to visitor management in Lofoten. Through active involvement and structured facilitation, the project supports broad participation and strong local anchoring.
