Kjersti is the co-founder and managing director of SALT. She is a highly valued and experienced business leader with great capacity, and her expertise ranges from business development, research management and industry insight, to advisory for policy development.
She has a Ph.D. in aquaculture from UiT Norwegian Arctic University and a master's degree in aquaculture from the University of Bergen. She has led several research programs and industry initiatives to target marine pollution, and she is Leader of the board of the Marine Recycling Cluster and chair of the recommendation committee of the Trade's environmental fund. Kjersti also has strong analytical and communication skills, with an unique ability to adapt to a different audiences through targeted communication and knowledge-based perspectives on business, academia and media.
