Blått Rått Rabalder 2.0 [Blue Raw Rabble]

Coastal Development

The Blue Raw Rabble school tour aims to inspire young people with confidence in their future lives in Northern Norway. Together, we want to foster greater pride and enthusiasm among the youth living in Finnmark.

What is Blue Raw Rabble?
Blue Raw Rabble is a school tour consisting of a science show, an entrepreneurship workshop, a creative session with storytelling, gamification, and play with artificial intelligence. The concept is to take over an entire school day at the lower secondary level, offering students a day out of the ordinary. By the end of the day, we hope that the students will be able to picture a future for themselves in the North.

The project concludes with a presentation of the students’ work to the municipality’s politicians.

Science Show and Quiz
The day begins with a short science show that covers big history—from the Big Bang and the formation of galaxies and planets, to Earth’s development from bacteria and algae to smartphones and artificial intelligence. The presentation is delivered with the help of a hologram projector. Students are then invited to a quiz where they can choose to dive deeper into experiments in biology, physics, chemistry, mechanics, and technology.

Group Work – Entrepreneurship, Storytelling, and Gamification
Over the course of three hours, students bring their experiences from the science segment into entrepreneurship and the creative disciplines. They are placed into groups that they stay with for the entire school day: Entrepreneurship workshop with SALT; Storytelling with actor Mikkel Gaup; Gamification with Miksapix.
