Climate risk scenarios

Coastal Development

SALT assisted the Norwegian Environment Agency in developing future scenarios related to climate risk for municipalities. These scenarios aim to describe relevant issues, challenges, and opportunities that municipalities may face in the future as a result of climate-related risks. This includes both risks associated with the transition to a net-zero society and the impacts of climate change.

The scenarios illustrate how different risk factors may interact, and how these interact with developments in other relevant areas such as economic activity, demographic composition, settlement patterns, and more.

SALT was leading the secretariat to coordinate the process and supports the involvement of the Environment Agency, sectoral authorities, and other national experts.
