Visitor Strategy for Tranøyfjorden

Coastal Development

SALT was commissioned to develop a visitor strategy for the geographic area of Tranøyfjorden in Senja municipality. The strategy for Tranøyfjorden and the surrounding areas will form part of the municipality’s work on holistic visitor management and will be aligned with a broader visitor strategy that takes into account natural, cultural, and economic values.

The overarching goal of the visitor strategy is to safeguard the interests and needs of the local community, while also addressing how best to facilitate and manage the use of the areas around Tranøyfjorden. This includes enhancing the visitor experience, supporting local value creation, and ensuring the protection of natural and cultural heritage. The project was developed in cooperation with Ånderdalen National park
