Clean Seas – Blue Responsibility

Coastal Development

Clean Seas – Blue Responsibility is a Norwegian-Russian multi-year knowledge exchange project between Norwegian and Russian fisheries students. The aim is to share knowledge about the causes and consequences of marine litter, as well as to contribute to building awareness that can help prevent pollution among the next generation of fishers.

In 2019, a deep-dive workshop focusing on analyzing the sources of marine litter was carried out in collaboration with Måløy Upper Secondary School. In 2020–2021, a digital workshop on waste management on board vessels and at harbor facilities is being conducted. Plans also include, among other activities, a study trip to Russia.
