Gap Analysis - FAO Guidelines for marking of Fishing Gear

Marine Management

Commissioned by the Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management, SALT is to carry out a Gap analysis on the application of the FAO’s voluntary guidelines for marking of fishing gear in the OSPAR area. The assignment includes a literature study and interviews with key stakeholders in the OSPAR member countries. The assignment is part of the implementation of OSPAR’s Regional Action Plan on Marine Litter. SALT will deliver a report including recommendations on how OSPAR and its respective member countries, can close the gaps in following FAO Guidelines through intergovernmental cooperation.
